THE EMBLEM
At the centre of ekamāthra lies a story of balance. Strength in softness, grace in power. Our emblem, the panther crowned with bull’s horns, embodies this union of contrasts. Once fierce and primal, she now moves with an evolved rhythm. Fluid, grounded, and resolutely feminine.
The horns remain, symbols of resilience. Her gaze, steady. Her presence, intuitive and protective. A quiet strength felt more than it is seen.

OUR STORY
Founded in 2022 in Bangalore, ekamāthra began as a small studio built on a single belief that fashion should be intentional, personal, and timeless. We create for those who embody the feminine in spirit, individuals who value presence over pace and individuality over imitation. Every garment is crafted in limited quantities, designed to move seamlessly through seasons and stories alike.

Meghana Pradhan
Founder and Creative Director
Born and raised in Bangalore, Meghana’s earliest exposure to design began at home, watching her mother’s sarees transformed into modern silhouettes. That transformation taught her that clothing could be deeply personal yet universally understood.
Though her journey started in technology, with an Engineering degree in Computer Science (2006-07), she spent over a decade in Human Resources and Business Operations, a path that honed her appreciation for structure, empathy, and discipline.
In 2019, Meghana moved to New York to study Fashion Design at Parsons School of Design, where she learned to merge concept with craft. She graduated with honors in 2021, returning to India soon after to build a label that reflected her duality which was analytical precision and artistic depth.
In 2022, she founded ekamāthra, officially launching the brand in 2023. Conceived as a trans-seasonal label, it merges modesty with audacity, heritage with modernity. Each piece is created from eco-friendly fabrics, produced in limited runs, and made with care to address the modern need for conscious consumption.
Under Meghana’s direction, ekamāthra stands for grace, versatility, and bold expression, where every garment becomes a quiet declaration of intent.
